Fat (Lipid) Modifications to LabDiet® Formulas

We can alter the fat concentration of any grain-based LabDiet® formula; diets with high and low fat concentrations are possible.

Low-fat grain-based diets are formulated by adjustments to several fat-containing ingredients and by restricting the primary sources of fat. High-fat diets are formulated by adding additional sources of fat, being careful not to "dilute" protein and micronutrients. (See About Diet Formulas.) Potential sources of added fat include oils such as soy, corn, coconut, cottonseed, peanut, sunflower, safflower, olive; and other fats such as lard, beef tallow, butter (anhydrous milk solids), and hydrogenated vegetable fat ("Crisco").

LabDiet¨ formulas have been modified to create hundreds of fat-adjusted diets. Following are just a few examples.
